Business Development Executive – Supply Chain- EMEA

Commission rich opportunity - outbound telephone based B2B sales environment experience essential.

£50k On Target Earnings Yr 1 (base +commissions)

Purpose:

You will be responsible for developing, hunting, and closing subscriptions with new logos across your designated region and remit.

You will be working on inbound leads dedicated to prospects within your designated segment/region, as well as being responsible for researching, sourcing and approaching new prospects for new logo acquisition to achieve the commercial targets and KPIs set to you.

Responsibilities:

  • Search for target business opportunities, identifying prospects, partners, and stakeholders to identify sales opportunities and upselling opportunities.
  • Engage with customers effectively, understand their needs, and articulate effective solutions via our range of products and premium events.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction, by collaborating with internal and external partners.
  • Manage the follow-up of the projects on our CRM system and the sales pipeline daily.
  • Engage and explain to prospects the product offers and event features and benefits.
  • Feedback market information to the Product Managers as well as reflecting this in your feedback to the senior teams.
  • Continually expand your knowledge and expertise around our product offer and keep up to date with sector developments and your own skills development.
  • Coordinate and follow up with internal stakeholders and prospects regularly using the company sales software and control systems, ensuring sales data is up to date each day.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Proven previous relevant experience working in a outbound telephone based B2B sales environment is essential.
  • Subscription B2B sales a plus.
  • You don’t need specific industry knowledge to be successful in this role, but previous experience in a price reporting agency would be an advantage.

  • Ability to work well independently and contribute as part of a wider team.
