About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to drive the strategy, development, and growth of our Payments platform, VendorPay. This role requires an understanding of financial operations, process automation, and the evolving needs of finance teams across various industries. You'll work closely with engineering, design, sales, and customer success teams to deliver innovative solutions that streamline AP workflows and deliver measurable value to our customers.
VendorPay is an integrated payments solution designed for community association management. It streamlines the process of paying vendors by automating payments, reducing manual processes, and minimizing check fraud. Essentially, it's a system that simplifies and secures the way community associations pay their vendors, like landscapers, maintenance companies, and other service providers. After the initial focus on payments, the role will evolve to expand to broader Accounts Payable, including invoicing, with a focus on AI.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and execute product strategy for AP software solutions aligned with company objectives and market opportunities
- Develop comprehensive product roadmaps based on customer feedback, market research, and competitive analysis
- Identify and prioritize features that drive customer acquisition, retention, and expansion
- Partner with leadership to establish product vision and go-to-market strategies
Customer & Market Focus
- Conduct regular customer interviews and gather feedback to understand pain points in AP processes
- Analyze usage data and customer behavior to identify optimization opportunities
- Monitor competitive landscape and emerging fintech trends affecting AP automation
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive workflows for complex financial processes
- Partner with sales and marketing teams to develop positioning, messaging, and sales enablement materials
- Support customer success teams with product knowledge and feature rollout strategies
Product Development & Launch
- Manage end-to-end product development lifecycle from concept to launch
- Create detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and product requirements documents
- Coordinate beta programs and gather feedback for product iterations
- Lead product launches and measure success against defined KPIs
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years B2B SaaS payments product management experience
- 3+ years' experience working with and influencing partners to impact roadmap
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with agile development methodologies and product management tools
- Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling software products
- Excellent analytical skills with experience using data to drive product decisions
Preferred Qualifications
- The ideal candidate has 1+ year of experience working with AI in B2B payments
- Understanding of accounts payable processes, financial workflows, and accounting principles
- Previous experience in financial services, accounting, or AP automation software
- Background in enterprise software with understanding of integration challenges
