Job Purpose:
The Senior Instructional Designer will develop and design high-quality learning programs and materials for external and internal training initiatives. You will analyze training needs, collaborate with subject matter experts, and create engaging instructional content using various formats and technologies. You will apply instructional design principles to develop effective learning experiences, incorporating interactive activities, assessments, and multimedia elements. You will lead the development and implementation of training strategies, evaluate program effectiveness, and provide guidance to the training delivery team. You will conduct standard to moderate complex instructional design projects. Overall, you will focus on creating impactful and innovative learning solutions that drive product adoption and client success on CINC solutions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Conduct needs analysis of CINC Systems customers and employees. Partner with training delivery team to identify appropriate learning paths and present training recommendations to interdisciplinary management group.
  • Collaborate with training team and technical writers to plan, develop, organize, write, and edit training tools for CINC Systems products, including training guides, tutorials, and job aids.
  • Develop and implement skill assessment program for customers and employees to evaluate the effectiveness of the training program in enabling participants to successfully apply the information presented in training courses.
  • Gather information from multiple resources to establish and understand the enhancements for each new release of all products. Identifies customer or internal challenges and proposes possible learning solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal partners such as Product Management and Client Operations to ensure that training tools for each product are accurate and up to date for on-going releases. Collaborate with technical writers to create and/or capture necessary graphics including product screen captures, photos, process-flow charts, engineering diagrams, and Gantt charts to insert into user documentation and training tools.
  • Develop and implement a process for quality assurance that reviews written procedures in documentation and training tools against the software to ensure that information is accurate and understandable from a user standpoint.
  • Participate and provide input in product planning and review meetings and in technical product testing. May recommend changes to existing workflow, operations, procedures and product enhancements, as necessary. May participate in user interface design meetings.
  • Create engaging eLearning courses, simulations, curriculums, and assessments for CINC products to support customers and employees in product use. Meet SCORM and AICC compliance standards and demonstrate eLearning best practices for presenting information clearly and concisely.
  • Develop and administer consistent, standardized content development and deployment practices within the learning management system (LMS).
Minimum Requirements & Competencies:
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Master’s degree preferred
  • 7+ years technical curriculum and training program design experience; software industry experience required; Association Management industry experience a bonus
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in the following areas: instructional design, and adult learning theories and best practices; application of the ADDIE course development model to create learning solutions for customers and employees; training program development tools such as Articulate and Storyline, development of SCORM-compliant learning assets
  • In-depth experience in designing training programs that: stimulate and sustain learner motivation and engagement; promote retention of knowledge and skills by learners of different styles; assess participants’ ability to successfully apply concepts presented in training; evaluating instructional program effectiveness
