Senior Platform Engineer (Colombia) Location: [Remote] Overview CINC Systems is seeking a highly skilled Senior Platform Engineer to strengthen our infrastructure, deployment, and reliability practices across our SaaS platform. This individual will be instrumental in delivering secure, observable, and cost-effective solutions using modern DevOps tooling and AWS-native services. We're looking for someone who thrives on automation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities - Architect and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure in AWS, including compute, storage, networking, and security services.
- Design CI/CD strategies that improve deployment velocity, reliability, and developer experience at scale
- Deep expertise in infrastructure as code at scale, leveraging terragrunt for modular, maintainable multi-account/multi-environment architectures
- Administer containerized applications using ECS (Fargate and EC2 launch types)
- Implement observability and telemetry with tools like Datadog, CloudWatch, and centralized logging solutions.
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure safe and reliable releases.
- Proactively monitor infrastructure health, identify anomalies, and participate in on-call incident response with focus on reliability and resilience.
- Promote FinOps culture by optimizing cloud spend, using tools like AWS Cost Explorer, Budgets, Trusted Advisor, and Compute Optimizer.
- Maintain technical documentation in Confluence, track work using JIRA, and participate in Agile development cycles.
Qualifications Required Skills & Experience - 7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud engineering roles.
- 5+ years of experience working with AWS Cloud Services, including VPC, EC2, RDS, IAM, ALB/NLB, CloudFormation, and Security Hub/GuardDuty.
- 5+ years of experience with container orchestration: ECS (preferred), Docker, Kubernetes, or Swarm.
- Experience with version control and CI workflows using Git, Bitbucket, GitHub, or GitLab.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Golang, Bash, PowerShell).
- Hands-on experience with SQL and integrating database schema deployment into CI/CD.
- Deep understanding of IaC with tools like Terraform (preferred)
Preferred Experience - Experience with Datadog for metrics, traces, logs, and dashboards.
- Familiarity with observability best practices: structured logging, alerting, and telemetry pipelines.
- Knowledge of secrets rotation, audit, and lifecycle management using Secrets Manager/SSM.
- Working knowledge of AWS FinOps practices: cost monitoring, forecasting, and optimization using native tooling.
- Experience participating in incident management, root cause analysis (RCAs), and blameless postmortems.
- Exposure to security controls and compliance frameworks (e.g., CIS Benchmarks, SOC 2, ISO 27001).
