About the Role
The Lead IT Administrator is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and support of the organization’s IT systems and infrastructure. This role involves managing hardware, software, networks, and user support to ensure a reliable and secure computing environment. This role will work closely with other IT team members and departments to support business operations and implement IT solutions that enhance productivity and security.
The successful candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a customer-oriented approach. The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is essential.
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network components to ensure optimal performance and security.
Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to maintain system reliability and efficiency.
Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly and efficiently.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights, ensuring data security and compliance with company policies.
Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures, including those for security, disaster recovery, and service provision.
Conduct regular system and network audits to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
Maintain and update IT documentation, including system configurations, network diagrams, and user guides.
Assist with the deployment and management of software applications, including SaaS solutions such as Gmail, GSuite, Slack, and ServiceNow.
Support and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless access points.
Participate as well as lead various IT projects, providing technical expertise and support for system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to ensure seamless integration of systems and processes.
Stay current with the latest technology trends and recommend improvements to enhance the IT infrastructure.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience in IT administration, with hands-on experience in system and network management.
Strong technical knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, hardware, software, and network components.
Experience with SaaS solutions such as Gmail, GSuite, Slack, and ServiceNow.
Proficiency in managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise technical support to end-users.
Organizational and project management skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Familiarity with IT security standards and best practices, including experience with network security and data protection.
Experience with remote support tools and software deployment solutions (e.g., Jamf, Intune, Airwatch).
IT certifications in related fields (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) are a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

The pay ranges below are shown as a guideline, and the successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and other relevant business and organizational factors.
