About this Role:
GoodRx is seeking a Sr. Director, Business Development & Implementation to lead the identification, design, and execution of new solutions that expand our impact across the healthcare ecosystem. This high-impact leadership role will focus on enhancing existing offerings, developing strategic partnerships, and bringing innovative ideas to market.
In this role, you will own the end-to-end process of new solution development. This includes i) identifying and evaluating new market opportunities, ii) building business cases, and iii) partnering with product to bring the ideas to life. You will also drive strategic decision-making around whether to build, buy, or partner, and lead the prioritization of opportunities.
You’ll work cross-functionally with senior executives, business development, marketing, product, engineering, legal, and external partners. The role requires a balance of strategic vision, cross functional collaboration and operational execution to turn ideas into viable, growth-driving solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research to identify and evaluate new market opportunities, engaging directly with retail pharmacy and other healthcare stakeholders to validate demand and feasibility
Translate early-stage ideas into clear business models, including sizing of addressable market, projected impact, and operational requirements
Collaborate with product and engineering to define high-level solution requirements and ensure functional alignment across internal teams
Identify and evaluate partnership opportunities that enhance or accelerate our offerings
Lead decision-making around whether to build, buy, or partner for new solutions
Prioritize opportunities based on internal and external feedback, performance metrics, and business goals
Support the development of a sales pipeline, partnering across the Rx Marketplace organization to identify opportunities, refine pitches, and tailor messaging to external audiences
Drive internal readiness and cross-functional coordination for launches of new or enhanced solutions, ensuring seamless execution from ideation to implementation
Skills and Qualifications:
15+ years of experience in product, strategy, or business development roles within healthcare, with a proven track record of bringing new solutions from concept to market
Expertise in evaluating new opportunities and developing business models, including validating and refining concepts in collaboration with external partners
Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives, collaborating across product, engineering, sales, and other stakeholders to drive aligned execution
Strong communication, presentation, and storytelling skills with experience influencing internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated sales acumen with a track record of crafting compelling value propositions and driving business development through persuasive, high-impact pitches
Experience identifying and managing strategic partnerships
High proficiency in standard business technology: Google Workspace, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, and virtual collaboration tools
Experience with BI platforms and analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
Bachelor's degree required; PharmD, MBA, or other advanced degree preferred

The pay ranges below are shown as a guideline, and the successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and other relevant business and organizational factors.
