What you will do

As a Team Lead for Integrations, you will guide a skilled team of engineers who are passionate about scalable data architectures and cloud technology. You will be responsible for building and maintaining the complex data pipelines that handle large data streams. This is a leadership role where you will see your team's work directly translate into real-world applications that impact hotels worldwide.

Where you will have impact

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of data engineers.
  • Drive the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of our streaming and batch data processing pipelines.
  • Guide the team in researching and testing new data processing methodologies and frameworks to keep our technology stack cutting-edge.
  • Drive best practices for observability and testability to ensure the reliability and performance of our data pipelines.
  • Collaborate closely with product scrum teams to tackle data storage, modeling, and transformation challenges for new features.
  • Actively contribute to the architectural vision and break down complex projects into clear, manageable tasks for the team.

About our team

You'll be leading a skilled team of data engineers who are at the core of our integrations. This team is responsible for turning massive streams of data into actionable insights for the hospitality industry. You will own the architecture and execution of our data pipelines, from ingestion to transformation. We're a collaborative team that works closely with product teams to bring new features to life.

Who you are

  • You are an experienced people leader with a passion for coaching and mentoring engineers, driving their technical and professional growth.
  • You have a proactive, "can-do" attitude, viewing challenges as opportunities and inspiring a positive, solution-oriented mindset within your team.
  • You excel at seeing the bigger picture, breaking down large architectural projects into clear, manageable tasks, and accurately estimating effort.
  • You have experience managing teams that build and maintain complex system integrations, and you are comfortable navigating unpredictable roadmaps and high support loads.
  • While this is a leadership role, you come from a strong hands-on background in data engineering or in building complex software integrations, and can act as a technical guide for your team.
  • You are professionally proficient in Python.
  • You have experience with microservice architectures, data streaming systems (like Kafka or Google Cloud Pub/Sub), and cloud database solutions (like BigQuery, Snowflake, or BigTable).
