About the role

Our small but brilliant People team is in need of a detail focused, values driven People Advisor with proven experience of working with data, Excel and various tech platforms. This is a varied and diverse role, which provides a great opportunity to be involved with many operational aspects of the People lifecycle as well as taking ownership for particular areas of responsibility and key projects.

What you'll be doing

HR Operations

  • Advising and assisting employees and managers with issues and queries across the full employee life cycle, including oversight of the People Ops Jira platform and People team inbox.
  • Supporting the Employee Relations Manager with case management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes through automation and enhanced reporting, assisting with policies and procedure implementation.
  • Manage employee off-boarding activities including documentation and information management and conducting exit interviews.
  • Champion the importance of clear processes and accurate information-updating people records, including employee information, contracts, and benefits documentation.
  • Support the administration and analysis of employee benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance.
  • Support the team with ensuring a first-class employee onboarding experience for all new hires – both pre and post day 1, including delivering the People onboarding sessions to new starters.
  • Support the People and Talent Co-ordinator with hiring during peak recruitment periods.

Compensation, Benefits & Analytics

  • Use HR data to identify trends and actionable insights to support decision making.
  • Work with HR systems and tools to improve data integrity and reporting capabilities to support decision making.
  • Support the salary review cycles in conjunction with the Finance Team preparing the internal and external data for use in the pay and promotions process.
  • Liaise with external providers and internal stakeholders to manage benefits schemes effectively.
  • Support the development of policies and frameworks related to pay, benefits and employee incentives.

General

  • Stay abreast of relevant workplace laws and legislative requirements and working with the wider HR team to ensure we are ahead of upcoming changes and training our employees or managers accordingly.
  • Assisting with company events and supporting ED&I and CSR groups.
  • Assisting with people-related projects, such as employee engagement initiatives, new benefits launch and the annual performance review and pay and promotions processes.

About you

If you can tick off a good number of the below, then we’d love to hear from you.

  • CIPD level 3 or above or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years previous HR generalist experience in a fast-paced HR department.
  • Confident in communicating with managers and employees at all levels with a style that is clear, engaging, coaching and collaborative.
  • Experience of drafting internal HR processes, guides and policies.
  • An understanding of main UK employment legislation and topical HR issues with experience of advising and coaching managers.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with all business stakeholders, employees to executive leadership.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Conscientious, team player, self-motivated with the ability to think through problems for themselves and propose solutions.
  • Self imposed high standards of work and strong attention to detail when working to deadlines.
  • Excellent Excel skills (Excel based activity will be part of the assessment process).
