About Netcraft

Netcraft is the global leader in cybercrime detection and disruption. We’re a trusted partner for three of the four largest companies in the world and many large governments. We've blocked over 225 million cyber-attacks to date, and we take down around 33% of the world's phishing attacks.

Our purpose and passion are focused on just one thing: protecting the world from cybercrime.

That passion shapes how we work, too. We’re proud of our talented team and the value each person brings, and we’ve built a workplace where people feel supported and inspired. From strong benefits and wellness programs to meaningful collaboration and team connection.

The Role

We are looking for a driven, curious and resilient Sales Development Representative to join our growing team in Melbourne. As an SDR at Netcraft, you will be on the front line of our commercial growth across Australia and the wider APAC region: identifying target accounts, mining new contacts, starting conversations with senior cyber, fraud, risk and technology leaders, and qualifying opportunities for the sales team.

This is a role for someone who enjoys the craft of outbound sales. You will combine research, cold calling, cold email, LinkedIn outreach and event-led prospecting to create high-quality meetings with organisations that can benefit from Netcraft’s cybercrime detection, disruption and threat intelligence capabilities. Success in this role requires discipline, curiosity, strong listening skills and the confidence to ask thoughtful questions, handle objections and keep momentum even when prospects are difficult to reach.

You will work closely with Account Executives, Sales leadership and Marketing to open new conversations, gather market intelligence, and help Netcraft build stronger relationships across sectors such as financial services, e-commerce, government, energy, gaming and other enterprise markets.

Candidates based in Melbourne, Australia are preferred, however, we are open to considering candidates based in other states along Australia’s east coast for the right person. This role will report to our Director of Sales.

Day to day, this is what you’ll be doing:

  • Regularly mine and research new contacts and target accounts within Netcraft’s ICP across key industries, continuously building a high-quality prospecting pipeline.
  • Make regular outbound calls, using conversations to book meetings, uncover account intelligence, identify the right stakeholders and establish clear next steps.
  • Generate qualified sales opportunities through consistent multi-channel prospecting, including personalised emails, LinkedIn outreach, cold calls, events and webinars, tailoring messaging to the prospect’s organisation, role and likely challenges.
  • Plan and execute targeted prospecting blitzes around upcoming industry events, conferences and Account Executive travel to maximise opportunities for in-person meetings.
  • Handle incoming leads generated through digital marketing campaigns and qualify them against Netcraft’s established qualification framework.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospecting, outreach and lead qualification activities across the sales technology stack.
  • Book discovery meetings for Account Executives and support them with relevant account research, stakeholder insights and context.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to provide feedback on campaign performance, prospect engagement and market signals.
  • Stay up to date on cybersecurity trends, threat intelligence, and Netcraft’s products and value proposition.

You’ll need:

  • 1–2 years’ experience in a sales development role, ideally in B2B SaaS or cybersecurity.
  • Discipline and consistency in maintaining daily prospecting habits and activity levels that build pipeline and drive long-term sales success.
  • Experience prospecting into complex, large enterprise organisations and engaging relevant stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Previous experience prospecting across APAC markets is highly desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct research and personalise outreach.
  • Comfortable using CRM tools and sales enablement platforms.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing activities and manage time effectively.
  • Resilient, coachable and results-driven, with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Ability to quickly understand new services and clearly articulate their value proposition to prospective customers.
  • Knowledge of sales qualification methodologies and the ability to effectively qualify prospective opportunities.
  • A degree in computer science, cybersecurity or a related discipline would be advantageous.

What you’ll get in return:

  • Access to cutting-edge sales technology - Join a company that actively embraces AI and modern sales tools to help you prospect smarter, move faster, and spend more time selling.
  • A team invested in your success – Be surrounded by high-performing salespeople who share what works, support each other, and are committed to helping you learn, develop, and succeed.
  • The opportunity to accelerate your career - Develop your sales craft in a high-growth cybersecurity environment, with exposure to experienced leaders and real opportunities to take on more responsibility.
  • A product and market you can get behind - Build your career in cybersecurity, solving real problems for organisations and learning how to sell into a rapidly evolving market.
