As a Security Administrator, you will play a crucial role in protecting our infrastructure, systems, and data by managing day-to-day security operations. You’ll support our compliance and risk programs, enforce secure access controls, perform vulnerability management, monitor network and system activities for potential risks, maintain critical security tools, and help ensure that threats are quickly identified and resolved.
Your work will ensure both proactive and reactive measures are in place to protect critical assets, while fostering an overall culture of security awareness throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background in cybersecurity engineering, combined with hands-on experience in security analysis and threat intelligence.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in an operational security role with a strong attention to detail and a collaborative spirit.

What you will accomplish:

System and Network Protection
  • Monitor and manage firewalls, endpoint protection platforms (EDR), and intrusion detection systems (IDS).
  • Maintain secure system configurations across internal and cloud infrastructure.
  • Ensure the timely application of patches and updates.
Identity and Access Management
  • Administer user permissions, group policies, and authentication systems (SSO, MFA).
  • Enforce least-privilege access controls across platforms and environments.
  • Perform regular audits across systems to ensure users have proper levels of access are maintained.
Threat Monitoring and Incident Support
  • Analyze alerts from SIEM and security tools to identify potential threats.
  • Investigate security events and support incident response and documentation.
  • Coordinate cross-departmentally with technical and IT teams to remediate issues promptly.
Compliance and Documentation
  • Manage compliance efforts related to PCI-DSS, GDPR, and US Data Privacy laws.
  • Maintain accurate records of security controls, configurations, and audit findings.
Security Awareness
  • Lead monthly cross-departmental security advisory board meetings.
  • Manage employee security training initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of security-minded practices across departments.
Tooling and Maintenance
  • Maintain tools for vulnerability scanning, system monitoring, and log management.
  • Support security audits, risk assessments, and internal reviews.
Research and Intelligence
  • Stay up to date on evolving threats, attacker methods, and system vulnerabilities and advise on proactive counter measures.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology related field of study.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in IT or security administration.
  • Proficiency with macOS/Windows system administration.
  • Experience with EDR, SIEM, IAM, and vulnerability management tools.
  • Experience with system, network, vulnerability management, incident response, and/or cloud security.
  • Understanding of PCI-DSS, GDPR, and US Data Privacy requirements and policies.
  • Knowledge of Incident Response policy, process, and execution.
  • Ability to communicate network, cloud, and system security issues to IT, DevOps, and Engineers.
  • Experience using vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools.
  • Strong scripting skills (Bash and PowerShell).
