Senior Full Stack Engineer
Location: Ireland (Dublin)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Work Model: Hybrid, 3 days per week in the Dublin office
The Role
We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and ship high-quality software across the full stack, from reactive front-ends to Python and Django services for the RapidRatings platform. You will work to direction from the Product and Architecture teams and deliver through the RapidRatings AI Development Life Cycle (RR-AI-DLC), with AI coding tools such as Claude Code and agents and skills as a core part of daily delivery.
You will deliver features end to end across reactive front-ends (SPA), Python and Django APIs, and PostgreSQL data models, applying modern engineering practices across Kubernetes, AWS, and Docker. You will work closely with cross-functional colleagues to build scalable, reliable, and performant applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design and Delivery
- Design and build features end to end, with Claude as a close collaborator and orchestrator, across reactive front-ends (SPA) and Python and Django services spanning RiskPulse, FastTrack, ActionPath, and the FHR Network.
- Model and evolve data in PostgreSQL and design well-versioned REST APIs (dbapi2) that power the platform.
- Deliver work through the RapidRatings AI Development Life Cycle (RR-AI-DLC), running bolts from Inception to Construction to Close-out with Claude Code and agentic tooling, and contributing Skills and Agents to the RR-AI-DLC Framework, with you orchestration and governing the decisions and outcomes.
Quality, Security, and Ownership
- Critically review and take full accountability for AI-generated plans, code, and tests, owning every human approval gate. Nothing ships on the AI's say-so alone.
- Build quality and security in from the start through automated tests, Playwright UI verification, and passing the mandatory security-review gate.
- Deploy and operate services on AWS and Kubernetes with Docker, use Datadog for observability, and drive rapid resolution of production defects. We own what we ship.
Collaboration and Shared Assets
- Collaborate with teams to turn Product Requirements and customer escalations into shipped, signed-off outcomes.
- Contribute to shared engineering assets, including reusable Skills, Agents, and rr-codex decision memory, so the whole organisation delivers faster and more consistently.
Who You Are
- You treat AI as a collaborator and orchestrator, not just a tool, and you design the right guardrails in from the start.
- You take full ownership of what you build and ship, and you stand behind your work through every approval gate, with a fix it if I break it ownership.
- You bring a mindset of leaving things better than you found them and a strong bias toward high-quality, well-tested software.
- You communicate clearly, collaborate well across cross-functional teams, and know when to ask for help.
What We're Looking For
- Proven full-stack engineering across a modern reactive front-end (SPA; JavaScript or TypeScript) and a Python and Django back-end with PostgreSQL, with a mindset of leaving the codebase better than you found it.
- Essential: hands-on experience delivering production software with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, including prompt and context engineering, orchestrating AI agents, and building Skills and Agents.
- Essential: the judgement to validate, correct, and stand behind AI-generated output, treating AI as an accelerator rather than an authority.
- Strong cloud-native delivery skills across AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD, together with sound REST API design.
- A security-first mindset, comfortable interpreting and remediating dependency, container, and DAST (ZAP) findings.
- Fluency with agile delivery, with Jira as the source of truth and Confluence as the system of record for work and decisions.
- Excellent problem-solving with a strong bias toward shipping well-tested, high-quality software, with full ownership of what you build and ship.
- Clear written and verbal communication and effective collaboration across cross-functional teams.
