The Lead Sales Development Representative will build and scale our outbound pipeline engine, owning outbound prospecting and lead qualification from day one, generating qualified meetings and pipeline for our Account Executives while helping define the process and messaging that will scale.

This is a high-visibility role with a clear path to leadership. The right candidate will deliver consistent results, document what works, and help establish a repeatable playbook. Over time, this role can evolve into a team lead position with hiring and coaching responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Outbound Prospecting and Meeting Generation

  • Prospect into banks, credit unions, and fintech partners through cold calling, tailored email sequences, and LinkedIn outreach

  • Build targeted account lists and personalize outreach based on research, intent signals, and engagement data

  • Execute multi-touch sequences to generate qualified meetings for Account Executives

Lead Qualification and Handoff

  • Further qualify Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) sourced from paid media, conferences, webinars, and other marketing channels

  • Conduct consultative discovery conversations using structured frameworks (BANT, MEDDIC/MEDDPICC, SPICED, or similar)

  • Identify business fit, urgency, stakeholder alignment, and next steps

  • Ensure seamless, well-documented handoffs to Account Executives to support strong close rates

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Feedback Loop

  • Partner with Marketing to provide feedback on lead quality, campaign targeting, and messaging performance

  • Collaborate closely with Account Executives to align on ICP, qualification criteria, and outreach strategy

Process Development and Reporting

  • Track and manage activity and performance metrics in Salesforce and supporting tools (Apollo.io, Gong, HubSpot, or equivalents)

  • Analyze conversion performance (MQL-to-SQL, meeting hold rate, etc.) to improve outreach and qualification effectiveness

  • Document repeatable sequences, messaging, targeting criteria, and qualification standards to build an outbound playbook

Growth into Leadership

  • Upon demonstrating consistent results and a repeatable process, transition into a team lead role with responsibilities for hiring, onboarding, and coaching SDRs

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in sales development or business development with a strong outbound focus

  • Experience in B2B SaaS, fintech, or financial services preferred

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding outbound activity and pipeline goals

  • Strong ability to engage decision-makers through research, personalization, and consultative questioning

  • Familiarity with qualification frameworks such as BANT, MEDDIC/MEDDPICC, or SPICED

  • Proficiency with Salesforce and sales engagement tools such as Apollo.io, Gong, HubSpot, or equivalents

  • Highly organized and self-directed, with consistent execution against weekly and monthly KPIs

  • Builder mindset with the ability to test, learn, document, and improve processes over time

  • Interest in growing into a leadership role

Bonus: Familiarity with the banking, credit union, or digital banking technology landscape.

How We Measure Success

  • Outbound activity volume and quality (calls, emails, LinkedIn touches)

  • Meetings booked and held (including show rate)

  • MQL-to-SQL conversion rate

  • Qualified pipeline contribution to revenue goals

  • Development of a documented, repeatable outbound playbook

Base Salary

The base pay for this position will be between $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 + Commissions for Demos Booked.
