ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:
The experienced and proactive Senior Indirect Tax Specialist (you!) will play a critical role in strengthening our global tax governance as the company expands and navigates increasing VAT, WHT, and other indirect tax requirements. You will help ensure compliance across our main markets, and safeguard the company from financial and operational tax risks. You’ll be part of a high-impact Tax team that collaborates closely with Finance, Accounting, Legal, and regional business partners to deliver accurate filings, strong controls, and scalable processes. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex cross-border tax matters and contribute directly to the company’s growth and stability.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant VAT, WHT, and other indirect tax filings across multiple jurisdictions (Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, UK, Mexico and Brasil)
- Lead the company’s readiness and implementation for new regulatory frameworks, including Spain’s upcoming electronic invoicing mandate (2026), Brazil’s 2026 indirect tax system, and Mexico’s expected 2026 reforms
- Strong knowledge of VAT, WHT, and multi-jurisdictional indirect tax compliance, particularly in Spain
- Strengthen and maintain internal tax controls, documentation standards, and process improvements to support scalable and efficient compliance operations
- Manage interactions with tax authorities, oversee indirect tax aspects of ongoing audits, and prepare responses that reduce risks and protect the business
- Management and oversight of tax and regulatory compliance in the group’s international subsidiaries, in coordination with external advisors
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to evaluate tax implications of new business initiatives and support accurate financial reporting
- 2-3 years of experience in indirect tax roles Previous expertise in VAT, WHT, and indirect tax compliance, including experience interpreting and applying complex regulations
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, Legal, and Operations to deliver scalable solutions
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and business-oriented manner
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and capacity to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving regulatory environment
- Language Requirements: Full professional proficiency in Spanish, Catalan, and English
WORK MODEL:
This role is Together@TKWW-eligible and based near one of our office hubs. You’ll be expected to work in the office two days a week as part of our hybrid work model.
