Principal Product Manager (Growth & Lifecylce)
Product, Sales & Business Development
Barcelona, Spain
WHAT WE DO MATTERS:
At The Knot Worldwide, we champion celebration - and that starts with celebrating our people. Our employees are passionate dreamers, thoughtful doers, and lifelong learners who power meaningful moments for millions around the world. We’re united by authentic connection, shared purpose, and a deep commitment to the global community we serve. Here, flexibility and belonging go hand in hand with high performance. Driven by our core values, we believe the best ideas come from empowered teams: those who consistently collaborate with intention to design solutions, spark ideas, and drive impact. Our people are at the heart of our success.
ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:
The Growth & Lifecycle zone at The Knot Worldwide owns how couples enter their planning journey and how they keep moving through it. As Principal Product Manager, Acquisition, you will bring an entrepreneurial spirit, creative problem solving, and user-centric design thinking to own the strategic direction of our top-of-funnel experiences: how couples discover us, what they experience before they ever log in, and how they cross from anonymous visitor to known couple.
You will serve as the strategic lead for the Acquisition squad, accountable for top-of-funnel vision, the logged-out experience, and high-impact outcomes that turn demand into account creation and a seamless handoff into the broader planning ecosystem. Reporting to the Senior Director of Product, Growth & Lifecycle, you will partner closely with executive stakeholders as well as exceptional engineering, design, data science, and marketing team members across our Barcelona and US hubs. We are looking for a seasoned product leader who thrives in ambiguity, sets forward-thinking strategy, surfaces risk early, and prioritizes outcomes over outputs to drive meaningful business growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Put Users First: Work closely with our analytics and research teams to gather qualitative and quantitative insights directly from users, keeping customer needs at the center of product decisions.
- Set Strategic Direction: Establish the forward-thinking strategy and 1-to-2 year roadmap for top-of-funnel couple acquisition, with a clear, defensible point of view on how paid and organic growth reinforce each other.
- Drive Outcome-Focused Execution: Ensure every bet ties to a clear user problem, learning agenda, and key business metric; adapt plans dynamically when data or customer problems shift.
- Own Logged-Out Surfaces: Lead the strategy for the logged-out experience, driving clarity on surface ownership between acquisition and partner teams while aligning cross-functional leadership on strategic recommendations.
- Champion SEO, GEO & LLM Discoverability: Partner with Marketing to set and execute our SEO, GEO, and LLM-discoverability strategy—determining how our surfaces appear across search and AI answer engines, crawl permissions, and risk/opportunity measurement.
- Optimize Conversion & Merchandising: Combine keen aesthetics, brand presence, and relentless experimentation on acquisition surfaces to drive conversion from visitor to account creation.
- Ensure Ecosystem Cohesion: Own account creation and sign-in, maintaining high quality and cohesion during the handoff into the core planning experience across The Knot.
- Co-Pilot Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with Consumer Marketing and Product Marketing leads as embedded squad members to rapidly build, test, and scale landing pages and green-field growth initiatives.
- Own Trade-Offs & Executive Alignment: Present strategic bets, quantitative models, and trade-offs to zone and executive leadership, making tough, smart cut-line decisions on roadmap priorities.
SUCCESSFUL PRINCIPAL PRODUCT MANAGER CANDIDATES HAVE:
- 10+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of driving complex, high-impact growth, logged-out web acquisition, or consumer-scale initiatives.
- Strategic & Greenfield Expertise: Demonstrated success in setting strategic direction and helping ideate, launch, and scale new consumer-facing products and experiences that drive business growth.
- Search & AI Discoverability Fluency: Command of SEO and the emerging GEO and LLM-discoverability space, acting as a credible strategic product partner.
- User-Centered & Experimentation Mindset: Strong CRO, merchandising instincts, keen aesthetics, and deep user empathy, backed by a disciplined habit of A/B testing and design-centered problem solving.
- Data Mastery: Proficiency with analytics and research tools to define metrics precisely, reason through funnel and cohort effects, and use rigorous analysis to defend decisions.
- Executive Presence & Collaboration: Exceptional communication skills with a track record of driving alignment, building strong cross-functional relationships, and partnering effectively with executives and engineering teams.
- Natural Prioritization: Strong instinct for what matters most, with a history of making smart trade-offs and evaluating success through outcomes over outputs.
- Autonomy & Risk Management: Operating maturity to own product strategy through ambiguity and proactively resolve cross-functional execution risks.
- Language Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Spanish fluency is a plus given our Barcelona hub.
- Domain Passion: Passionate about helping users solve big problems and making life's most meaningful planning moments joyful instead of stressful.
WORK MODEL: This role is Together@TKWW-eligible and based at our Barcelona hub. You will work in the office two days a week as part of our hybrid work model.
