What are we looking for?
VBA is seeking an experienced and motivated Implementation Manager to join our team and drive successful project implementations for our clients. This role is pivotal in ensuring our healthcare payer clients are successfully and seamlessly onboarding onto VBA’s SaaS platforms. In this role, the Implementation Manager is the primary client contact for platform implementations and works closely with the client’s project team and VBA teams to optimize success. An ideal candidate has experience applying SaaS implementation best practices and can effectively manage scope, deliver on project timelines, and drive accountability from all stakeholders. They will have a proven track record of leading large project teams, project planning, and ensuring on-time project delivery. This role requires strong and proactive written and verbal communication skills with an ability to lead discussions with business, technical, and executive audiences. Identifying and mitigating risks and effectively driving appropriate escalations are critical capabilities in this role. You will report directly to senior management and play a key role in building client satisfaction and trust in VBA.

What will you be doing?
- Develop comprehensive project plans to meet client requirements and contracted statement of work
- Set and manage client expectations
- Clearly communicate project plans, key deliverables, timelines, and roles and responsibilities
- Manage, track and communicate progress of multiple concurrent client implementation projects
- Coordinate client training, software configuration, data conversion, and software and interface development
- Ensure timely communication and mitigation of project risks and issues
- Document and track change requests
- Acquire sign-off from clients for key deliverables
- All other duties as assigned
What are we looking for at this position?
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Healthcare, IT, or similar).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management roles within the software, healthcare, or consulting industries.
- Self-motivated individual with strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients, while also managing scope creep and difficult conversations effectively.
- Demonstrated experience managing large teams and complex projects.
- Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, project-based environment.
- Intellectually curious with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
- Familiarity with SaaS software solutions, EDI interfaces, and APIs.
- Experience leveraging project management tools and software.
What do we consider a plus?
- Experience with B2B SaaS implementations in the healthcare industry.
- Experience with healthcare insurance-related technology such as claims administration platforms, portals, and/or analytics platforms.
- Ability to work independently and be resourceful when confronted with ambiguity.
- Experience in managing client relationships and guiding overall client experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant certifications.
Travel Requirements: Up to 10% travel to client sites
