Growth Manager – Retention

Location: Hyderabad

About the Role

Zenwork is a B2B SaaS company in the regulatory tech space. We are looking for a Growth Manager who will own engagement and retention across the customer lifecycle, with a strong focus on email and in-app experiences.

This role is about driving product adoption, reducing churn, and increasing lifetime value through structured lifecycle programs. You will combine strategy, experimentation, and hands-on execution using platforms like MoEngage or similar tools.

You will work closely with Product, Customer Success, Sales, and Data to turn insights into programs that move retention metrics.

What You’ll Own

Lifecycle Strategy

  • Define lifecycle journeys across onboarding, activation, adoption, renewal, expansion, and win-back.
  • Segment customers by plan, behavior, industry, and account maturity to deliver relevant messaging.
  • Build a clear experimentation roadmap across email and in-app touchpoints.

Email & In-App Engagement

  • Design and launch onboarding journeys that accelerate time to value.
  • Build triggered, behavior-based campaigns using MoEngage or similar platforms.
  • Create in-app nudges, tooltips, checklists, and contextual prompts to drive feature adoption.
  • Improve engagement through personalization, dynamic content, and progressive messaging.
  • Continuously test subject lines, content, timing, and journeys to increase open rates, CTR, activation, and retention.

Experimentation & Optimization

  • Run structured A/B and multivariate tests across lifecycle stages.
  • Measure incremental impact using control groups and uplift analysis.
  • Document insights and scale winning campaigns across segments.

Analytics & Insights

  • Own retention, churn, and engagement dashboards.
  • Conduct cohort and funnel analysis to identify drop-offs and growth opportunities.
  • Identify leading indicators of churn and work with CS on proactive interventions.
  • Partner with Data on customer health scoring and predictive churn signals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Align with Product to influence adoption-led UX improvements.
  • Work with Customer Success on renewal and at-risk engagement programs.
  • Support Sales with expansion and upsell enablement campaigns.
  • Partner with Revenue Ops to ensure accurate lifecycle tracking and attribution.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5-8 years of experience in lifecycle marketing, growth, or retention within B2B SaaS.
  • Strong hands-on experience with MoEngage or similar platforms such as Braze, WebEngage, HubSpot, or Customer.io.
  • Proven track record of building and optimizing email and in-app engagement programs.
  • Strong analytical skills, including cohort analysis and experimentation frameworks.
  • Comfort working with data tools and dashboards to drive decisions.
  • Ability to translate data into clear actions and measurable impact.
  • Clear communication and stakeholder management skills.
