The Talent Acquisition & HR Specialist will play a critical role in supporting Zenwork's growth by attracting, hiring, onboarding, and supporting top talent. This role will primarily focus on recruiting sales and customer-facing professionals, including Sales Representatives, Account Executives, and Account Managers, while also providing onboarding support and HR generalist services throughout the employee lifecycle.
The ideal candidate is a relationship-focused HR professional with strong recruiting expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to deliver a positive candidate and employee experience. This individual will partner closely with hiring managers to identify talent needs, build pipelines, and ensure successful onboarding and integration of new employees.
Location
Our preference is for this position to be in Fayetteville AR or Dallas TX/Hybrid, however we are willing to consider a remote arrangement for the right candidate.
Reports to: Director of Human Resources
Talent Acquisition & Recruiting (Approximately 50%-60%)
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for Sales Representatives, Account Executives, Account Managers, Customer Success, and other business support roles.
- Partner with hiring managers to develop recruiting strategies and workforce plans.
- Source, screen, interview, and evaluate candidates through multiple recruiting channels.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
- Coordinate interview scheduling, candidate communications, and hiring decisions.
- Prepare and extend employment offers.
- Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruiting process.
- Track recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, source effectiveness, candidate conversion rates, and quality of hire.
- Develop and promote Zenwork's employer brand through networking, referrals, social media, and recruiting events.
- Support hiring initiatives during peak season, growth and expansion.
Onboarding & Employee Experience (Approximately 25%)
- Coordinate all new hire onboarding activities.
- Facilitate new hire orientation and company introduction programs.
- Partner with managers, IT, and department leaders to ensure new hires are equipped and prepared for success.
- Ensure completion of all employment documentation and compliance requirements.
- Monitor onboarding effectiveness and gather feedback from new employees and managers.
- Partner with Talent Development Team to improve onboarding content and ensure curriculum is current and compliant.
- Support employee engagement and retention initiatives during the first year of employment.
- Maintain onboarding materials, training schedules, and new hire communications.
Employee Experience and HR Generalist Responsibilities (Approximately 15%-20%)
- Assist with the administration of employee recognition and culture-building programs.
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll, and company programs.
- Assist managers with employee relations matters and routine employee concerns.
- Maintain employee records and HRIS data accuracy.
- Support performance management, employee development, and engagement initiatives.
- Assist with benefits administration, leave management, and employee communications.
- Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Prepare HR reports, metrics, and workforce analytics.
- Assist with compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years of recruiting and/or human resources experience.
- Demonstrated success recruiting sales professionals, account executives, account managers, customer success, or other customer-facing roles.
- Strong interviewing, sourcing, and candidate assessment skills.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms.
- Knowledge of onboarding, employee relations, and HR compliance practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to lead through influence, manage competing priorities, and effectively engage executive-level leaders, strategic partners, and cross-functional teams.
Preferred
- Experience in SaaS, fintech, tax technology, payroll, compliance, HR technology, or financial services.
- Existing network within payroll, accounting, ERP, compliance, and financial services ecosystems.
- Experience leading technology alliance programs and integration partnerships.
- Proficiency with Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and technologies to support recruiting, sourcing, candidate experience, workforce planning, process automation, reporting, and overall productivity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Excel skills to include data analysis, reporting, dashboards, pivot tables, and workforce metrics tracking.
- Strong emotional intelligence (EQ) with the ability to build trust, influence diverse stakeholders, navigate complex relationships, and foster collaborative partnerships across internal and external organizations.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or similar HR certification.
