The Role

Bitly is seeking an experienced Director of Sales, Acquisition. We are looking for a customer-obsessed, strategic, and data-centric leader with experience and a passion for building and scaling high-performing teams. Reporting to Bitly’s SVP of Sales and Customer Success, you will lead a team of sales leaders and sellers with a focus on customer acquisition as well as setting up new and existing customers for continued growth and expansion to attain revenue goals. You will work cross-functionally to develop and implement strategies that enhance our sales process, improve customer satisfaction, and contribute to our overall growth objectives.

This role is ideal for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about building and maintaining a positive company culture, and possesses a deep understanding of sales methodologies, customer success principles, and support strategies.

What You'll Do

  • Communicate Bitly’s sales vision, business plans, and organizational updates to the Sales team, driving alignment at all levels
  • Drives revenue and contributes to the continued growth of Bitly by consistently achieving individual and team quotas
  • Manages Team performance against quotas and sales forecasts, executes operating plans and ensures sales objectives are met
  • Monitors the daily activity of sales representatives including outbound calls, targeting specific customers to achieve objectives, and managing sales support activities
  • Establishes and reports on metrics to measure the performance of the inside sales activities; corrects deficiencies where necessary
  • Acts as an escalation point for all department issues, internal and customer-facing
  • Recruit, interview, and select talent to build a high-performing Sales team
  • Ensure Sales team alignment with Bitly’s sales processes, practices, and policies
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to prioritize, influence and secure necessary support, tools, and systems to enable the sales teams’ success
  • Be a constant innovator and disrupter, bringing customers insights to drive continuous improvement in our products and customer experience
  • Analyze sales activity and results to direct performance and to provide input to Senior Leadership
  • Represent Bitly in the community to enhance business relationships and to increase brand awareness
  • Ensure ethical business practices

Who You Are

  • 10+ years’ experience leading a high-performing sales team
  • Proven experience in building and leading sales teams within a high-growth environment
  • Ability to manage influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building
  • Ideally combined background of pre and post-sale execution
  • Strong empathy for customers AND passion for revenue and growth
  • Deep understanding of value drivers in recurring revenue business models
  • Analytical and process-oriented mindset
  • Demonstrated desire for continuous learning and improvement
  • Enthusiastic and creative leader with the ability to inspire others
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

The annual cash compensation range for this position is below. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed.
Pay Range
$132,400$198,600 USD
